Description
H. Moser & Cie. Venturer Small Seconds XL Purity Cosmic Green is a perfect example of the manufacture’s philosophy. Minimum detail, maximum character.
In the Purity version, the dial has been almost completely stripped back. There is no logo, Swiss Made inscription or unnecessary text. Only the hands, four indexes and small seconds remain.
The main highlight is the Cosmic Green fumé dial. Its colour changes from a brighter centre to much darker edges. Moreover, the sunburst finish reacts beautifully to different light.
The case is crafted entirely from 18k white gold. It measures 43 mm in diameter and 12.6 mm in thickness. Therefore, it has a strong presence on the wrist.
A beige kudu leather strap completes the configuration. It gives the white-gold case a slightly more rugged character. Meanwhile, the pin buckle is also made from solid 18k white gold.
Inside beats the manufacture HMC 327 with manual winding. The movement provides at least three days of power reserve. In addition, it uses 29 jewels and operates at 18,000 vibrations per hour.
The power-reserve indicator sits on the movement side. As a result, the dial remains perfectly clean. The calibre can be admired through the sapphire crystal caseback.
Only 50 examples of this version were produced. Even by independent-watchmaking standards, this is a very small production run.
In my opinion, the combination of Cosmic Green, white gold and the Purity concept makes this reference especially appealing. It is highly distinctive without being ostentatious.

It comes complete with all original H. Moser & Cie. boxes and documents.
