Seiko UFO reference 6138-0011, this 1972 specimen embodies the adventurous spirit of vintage sports watches. Equipped with a chronograph and a day-date window, it displays an austere black dial enhanced by luminescent indices and luminescent hands that facilitate readability in all conditions. The heart of this timepiece beats to the rhythm of the Seiko 6139A caliber, a robust and reliable automatic movement characteristic of chronographs from the 1970s. The 44 mm stainless steel case, 15.1 mm thick, exudes reassuring solidity, while the mineral crystal protects the dial from the shocks of daily wear. The watch displays water resistance of 30 meters, suited to terrestrial use. Sold watch only, without box or original papers, this Seiko currently rests on a black leather strap with pin buckle, both of later origin. The case, dial, bezel and crystal show visible signs of wear, an authentic testament to several decades of wear. This UFO embodies the appeal of vintage sports watches: timeless design, proven mechanics and that patina that only time knows how to bestow upon fine timepieces.
