Description
The Omega Cosmic Triple Date Moonphase, reference 2606-6, is one of Omega’s most collectible post-war calendar watches. It features a beautiful original white dial with a Arabic numeral at 12 o’clock, distinctive gold “coffin” hour markers, elegant gold hands and the signature blued central date hand indicating the day of the month on the blue outer date track. The day and month are displayed in English through twin apertures, while the moonphase is combined with the small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock.
The original dial remains in very good condition. As expected from a watch over 75 years old, it shows some honest signs of age, something collectors generally prefer over a refinished dial.
The two-tone case retains its original finishing, combining polished gold-plated surfaces with brushed stainless steel sides. The case back is engraved, “To Sam on his 50th birthday, ABE.”
Inside beats the manually wound Omega caliber 381, fully serviced in July 2026 and running excellently. The watch is paired with a handmade top-grain chocolate brown leather strap with a crocodile pattern. Produced in relatively small numbers, the Cosmic Triple Date Moonphase remains one of the most desirable vintage Omega calendar watches for collectors.
