This is the Patek Philippe World Time Ref. 5130R, crafted in warm 18K rose gold.
A distinguished and highly practical complicated timepiece, created for seasoned travellers and collectors who appreciate one of Patek Philippe’s most iconic travel complications. The watch comes with its original box and Patek Philippe Certificate of Origin from 2011.
The 39.5mm rose gold case is elegant, beautifully proportioned and remarkably thin considering the complexity of the movement. The case and fold-over clasp have very light, hardly noticeable traces of careful use. The classic Calatrava-style case wears comfortably and gives the watch a refined yet cosmopolitan presence on the wrist.
The dial has a sophisticated three-zone design. The outer city disc displays 24 reference cities, while the 24-hour ring clearly indicates day and night by colour, together with sun and moon symbols. The silvery guilloché sunburst centre adds depth and elegance. The distinctive ring-shaped hour hand is reserved for Patek Philippe World Time watches and recalls the historic World Time references from the 1930s.
This reference is powered by the self-winding caliber 240 HU, with a 22K gold micro-rotor and Geneva Seal finishing. The World Time function allows the wearer to read all 24 time zones simultaneously. When travelling, the button at 10 o’clock advances the local hour hand, city disc and 24-hour disc together in one-hour jumps, without affecting the precise progression of the minute hand
