The Rolex Milgauss 116400GV is one of the most distinctive modern Rolex models, originally designed for scientists and engineers working in high magnetic environments. This 2017 full set example, recently serviced and delivered with a 2-year warranty, is presented in excellent condition and ready for daily wear or collection.
Housed in a 40mm Oystersteel case, the Milgauss stands out with its signature green sapphire crystal (“GV”) and the striking Z-Blue dial with orange lightning-bolt seconds hand — a design that has become instantly recognizable among Rolex enthusiasts. The watch is powered by the Rolex Calibre 3131, specifically engineered with a soft iron inner case to resist magnetic fields up to 1,000 gauss, making it both a technical instrument and a design icon.
The smooth bezel and clean dial layout give it a more understated character compared to other Rolex sports models, while still maintaining strong wrist presence thanks to its unique color accents. As a discontinued reference (production ended in 2023), demand for well-kept examples has increased significantly, especially for full sets in serviced condition like this one.
Fun fact: the Milgauss name comes from “mille” (French for 1,000) and “gauss,” the unit of magnetic field strength — a direct reference to its original ability to withstand magnetic forces that would affect most mechanical watches.
