Description
The Cartier Tank Vermeil offered here was produced in 1979 and features the large men’s model, also known as the LM size, measuring 23.5mm in width and 31mm lug-to-lug. The watch has a beautiful champagne-coloured dial with the classic black Roman numeral hour markers, black railroad minute track, and blued steel hands, all complemented by the blue ruby cabochon crown. The case is made out of silver with gold plating, of which the plating remains very well intact, especially on the front of the watch. Some very light fading can be seen on certain parts of the back case, although naturally not visible while wearing. Inside sits a quartz movement which we had fully overhauled in May 2026 and now runs and functions excellently. We have paired the watch with a black cowhide leather strap fitted with a folding clasp. Overall condition of this piece is simply magnificent and it presents itself beautifully on the wrist.
