Description
One of the oldest (the second longest-running after the Omega Seamaster), but also most iconic series of Omega is definitely the Omega Constellation. The model we are focusing on today was released in early 2024 along with two other color versions (green and silver).
Perhaps the most distinctive feature of these new models – and what is immediately striking – is the impressive meteorite dial. The Swedish Muonionalusta meteorite was used for its creation, which means that no two examples are completely identical – each pattern is unique, created by nature millions of years ago. The blue version (in our opinion, the most impressive) pairs perfectly with the steel case, and the characteristic “frosted” metal bezel completes the overall look.
The date window is positioned at "6 o'clock", and just above it sits the iconic star – a hallmark of the series. The way the textures, colors, and light reflections combine is something that can hardly be captured in a photograph – this is a timepiece that must be seen in person.
The movement deserves separate attention. Beneath the designation Omega Calibre 8900 lies an automatic in-house caliber with a frequency of 25,200 vibrations (3.5 Hz), a power reserve of over 60 hours, and 39 jewels. The two barrels and the Nivachoc anti-shock system ensure stable performance, and most importantly – the movement is certified as a Master Chronometer by METAS, which means significantly stricter standards than those of COSC.
One of its key features is its anti-magnetism up to 15,000 gauss – a quality that in today's world, filled with electronic devices and magnetic fields, is more than practical.
The transparent case back allows you to enjoy the beautiful finish of the movement with the characteristic Geneva waves, and the integrated bracelet – typical for the Constellation series – provides comfort and a complete aesthetic look.
The end result is a timepiece that combines tradition, modern technologies, and natural uniqueness – something rarely found even in the world of high-end watchmaking.
