Description
Despite all its technological achievements, this Aqua Terra remains, from every angle, a purebred Omega Seamaster. We are reminded of this when we see the traditional "Ω" on the dial, the smooth bezel, and the classic hands – all of which give the timepiece an elegant and refined look.
The deep blue dial with its "teak deck" texture offers excellent contrast thanks to the applied hour markers and distinctive hands. The date window is positioned at the new location for the series – "6 o'clock". The hands are faceted, and the overall effect is complemented by carefully chosen contrasting accents.
One of the things that is almost impossible to fully convey through photographs are the different dimensions of the dial. All this detail is revealed beautifully thanks to the slightly domed sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective coating – at certain angles, it seems to disappear, creating the feeling that you can touch the hands.
The bezel is smooth and fixed, creating a sense of stability and protection for the dial, while the ribbed crown complements the overall presence.
The transparent case back allows us to enjoy the beautifully decorated Omega movement, which deserves special attention – the Co-Axial Calibre 8900. It operates at a frequency of 25,200 vibrations (3.5 Hz), has a power reserve of over 60 hours, 38 jewels, and 202 components. The two barrels and the Nivachoc anti-shock system contribute to its reliability and precision, allowing Omega to offer an extended warranty for models with this movement.
The strap is extremely comfortable thanks to the clasp with easy-to-use push-buttons, and the fact that it is made of soft and supple rubber in a unique grey color makes the watch's presence even more impressive.
