The Marathon 41mm Anthracite Diver’s GSAR presented today embodies military durability combined with Swiss craftsmanship. Meeting the ISO 6425 standard, it is designed for divers from search and rescue (SAR) teams and has been used by the United States Marine Corps. Also known as the Government Search and Rescue (GSAR), this model is built to withstand extreme conditions. First introduced in the early 1990s, the SAR series remains relevant to this day. As can be expected from such a professional instrument, the watch is equipped with specific features: an easy-to-grip bezel, allowing for operation with gloves, as well as self-contained tritium gas tubes, ensuring constant visibility in low light. They contain an isotope of hydrogen and do not require an external light source. The model is water-resistant to 30 bar (300 meters / 1000 feet). Crafted from 316L stainless steel with a black ion coating, the 41mm diameter case is exceptionally robust, and the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal ensures excellent legibility under all conditions. The stainless steel bracelet with the same black coating and a folding clasp ensures a secure and comfortable fit on the wrist. This is a watch built without compromise – a true instrument for professionals that combines reliability, functionality, and a distinctive military style.
