Description
The model was first introduced in 2017 and immediately became sought-after and desired not only by fans of the brand but also by watch collectors in general. One of the possible reasons is perhaps due to the fact that the model represents Tudor's answer to the super popular and sought-after watch of its "big brother" Rolex – the Root Beer. This, in my opinion, is the reason for the two-tone bezel in the same black-brown combination, the GMT function, and the similar case size. In this case, just as with Rolex, there is abundant use of 18-carat gold – in this instance yellow gold, as the bezel, crown, hands, indices, and the center links of the bracelet are crafted from this material.
The sporty spirit of the model complements the heritage it carries (it is not for nothing that Tudor calls the series Heritage) – starting with the ribbed and oversized crown, moving through the design of the dial and the two-tone bidirectional bezel, and finishing with the comfortable Oyster-type bracelet – all of this clearly shows that this is no ordinary watch, and its kinship with the Rolex GMT models is evident in every detail.
At its heart beats the in-house MT5652 movement – with a 70-hour power reserve and a frequency of 28,800 vibrations. This is an excellently proven movement that combines reliability, accuracy, and relatively easy maintenance – a combination rarely found in this class.
The bracelet is an Oyster type (as is, in fact, the entire concept of the case) – with center links of 18-carat gold, where the end links are solid, and the others are capped with a layer of gold. The end result is a watch with a clearly defined character – combining sport, luxury, and a highly recognizable look.
