Secured with a robust titanium bracelet, this "avenger" flexes its muscles like Thor or the Hulk – few are the timepieces that so successfully combine rugged appeal, impressive dimensions, and raw elegance. Many and varied timepieces have passed through our hands – some larger, others more extravagant, but few of them manage to combine a masculine presence and a balanced design so well. It is not for nothing that the Super Avenger is among the brand's best-selling models over the last 25 years – a fact that is fully confirmed when handling the timepiece.
Through the sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective coating, the blue dial is revealed, where a new shade of the color has been used for the first time. The hours are marked with double markers, coated with Superluminova. Unlike most 48 mm Super Avenger models, this one is in the "more modest" 46 mm, which makes it more versatile and comfortable for a wider circle of admirers.
The overall presence is exceptionally classy – a combination of blue, black, and silver, complemented by fine red accents (the tip of the chronograph seconds hand and the segments of the subdial at "3 o'clock"). The timepiece needs no additional embellishments – everything is measured and in its place.
The beautiful brushed titanium bracelet, the 300 m water resistance, and the COSC-certified chronograph complete the feeling of a true instrument. Even just by contemplating it, we can easily understand why Breitling uses the slogan "INSTRUMENTS FOR PROFESSIONALS".
At the heart of the watch works the proven Breitling 01 movement – an automatic chronograph with a 70-hour power reserve, 28,800 vibrations, and 45 jewels. Thanks to the transparent case back, we can enjoy this work of horological art.
Another serious plus of the model is the possibility for personalization. Besides the original titanium bracelet, the watch looks impressive with various leather and rubber straps as well, both original and alternative – almost as varied as with Panerai.
