Description
Offered here is a beautiful and very early Patek Philippe wristwatch in 18k gold, dating from the 1910s and elevated by a diamond-set bezel in platinum. This rare combination of materials and early wristwatch architecture reflects a moment when Patek Philippe was transitioning from pocket watches to refined wristwear.
The watch features the classic rounded form typical of early trench watches, complemented by elegantly shaped wire lugs that preserve the original proportions and charm of the period. The enamel dial, signed by Patek Philippe,features crisp printing and clean Arabic numerals.
The case measures 26mm (9mm height) and is fully signed, with all covers closing securely and with the reassuring solidity one expects from a Patek. The movement is likewise signed and remains in good condition. As with all watches from this era, it houses a small and delicate caliber from the 1910s, and should be worn and handled with the appropriate care and expectations befitting such early horlogerie.
The watch is fitted on a new black leather strap.
