Top vintage in exceptionally good condition! This Heuer Autavia 7763 men's chronograph. Autavia stands for "Auto & Aviation." A top collector's item for vintage enthusiasts. This vintage chronograph, dating from the first quarter of 1968, was primarily used for auto racing and aviation purposes at the time. It was, and still is, a precise timekeeping instrument, hence the name Autavia. A rare vintage watch in beautiful condition on the highly sought-after (and expensive) Heuer "Beads of Rice" steel bracelet. Heuer is the well-known predecessor of the modern Tag Heuer. It became famous for legendary models from the 1960s and 1970s like the Carrera and Autavia (auto & aviation). Heuer is now much more highly regarded than the more modern TAG Heuer, and for good reason. What a history, what a wealth of detail, and what progressive timepieces. This is a fantastic example in beautiful, unpolished, and sharp condition with the original finish, as it was originally delivered. This watch features a beautiful black dial with sporty white details, giving it a so-called "panda dial." This watch is internally equipped with the Heuer-signed Swiss Made Cal. 7730 manual movement, which runs smoothly and accurately, with values that are not out of place in modern timepieces. We measure an amplitude of approximately 277 degrees and a deviation of only a few seconds per day. The original Heuer "Beads of Rice" steel bracelet is also in excellent condition. The bracelet has minimal stretch, is sharp, and with all its links, fits large wrists (over 20cm). These separate bracelets are already sold for around €2000, so that certainly adds significant value to this watch!
