ROLEX 6542 GMT 1958 Rolex GMT Master restored by Rolex. Today we have something very special and probably unique in its form. We have a Rolex GMT Master from 1958, which was completely restored by Rolex in the 1980s and fitted with a new case with a serial number of 6,000.xxx. Everything is perfectly documented and the watch comes with numerous documents. Now everyone would say: Huh? A 6542 with a 6 million case number? Yes, that’s why the watch was at the Rolex Atelier de Restauration in Geneva in 2020, where it was examined and a cost estimate was prepared. The watch is also registered with Rolex Geneva with the new case number as 6542. The work and documentation were carried out in the 1980s by Rolex USA. The watch was purchased in 2018 in the USA from a renowned official Rolex dealer who also sells vintage watches and was imported to Austria. Such a special and well-documented watch is unlikely to be found again. The watch is completely radium-free and can therefore be worn without hesitation in everyday life.

- Minor signs of wear such as hairline marks or small surface scratches. Case, bezel, and bracelet retain sharp edges and overall form. May have been professionally polished without affecting the original contours. Fully functional mechanically.

- Visible signs of wear such as scratches, small dents, or light bracelet stretch. May have been professionally polished. Fully functional mechanically.
- Fair
- Clearly visible signs of wear, including scratches, dents, or noticeable bracelet or clasp wear. Servicing may be recommended in the future. Fully functional unless otherwise stated.
