Grand Seiko describes this model in a remarkably poetic way — inspired by Mount Iwate, the 2,038-meter peak overlooking the Grand Seiko Studio Shizukuishi, where all of the brand’s mechanical watches are produced. The mountain’s landscape and the melting snow at the arrival of spring served as the foundation for this exceptional dial.
The light blue dial features a strong, organic texture reminiscent of snow covering Mount Iwate as winter transitions into spring. Grand Seiko is unquestionably a master of dial design, and their philosophy of drawing inspiration from nature feels authentic and deeply rooted. These watches are distinctly “Japanese” — in the very best sense of the word.
Powering the watch is the modern Hi-Beat 36000 movement with an impressive 80-hour power reserve, fully visible through the sapphire caseback. The case is crafted from exclusive Ever-Brilliant Steel, which according to the manufacturer is approximately 1.7 times more corrosion-resistant than conventional stainless steel. The finishing is completed with flawless Zaratsu polishing.
This example dates back to 2025 and is offered as a full set with original boxes and papers. Condition is outstanding — the watch presents like new.
