And one of the collections that pays tribute to the brand's expertise in the production of reliable instruments with a historical heritage is undoubtedly Monaco, which is intended for both professionals in motorsports and for thrill-seekers. All watch enthusiasts know the Monaco's connection with racing cars and the series' contribution to the brand's very survival, and now we have the pleasure of presenting to your attention the Tag Heuer Monaco Chronograph Blue dial CBL2111.BA0644.
From its very launch, the model was conceived to combine, on the one hand, the heritage and classicism of its original, and on the other, to be modern and forward-thinking. The watch was first introduced in 2022, and its design largely echoes that of the original model, with numerous references to motorsports, for which the original was created.
The watch is executed in a very classic combination of blue and noble steel – the dial is primarily blue with white subdials, the hands and hour indices are elegantly adorned with a layer of SuperLuminova – which makes reading the watch's indications easy both during the day and at night. The date indication is in the aperture at "6 o'clock", the chronograph's seconds counter is a red central hand, the minute counter is at "3 o'clock". All this elegance is housed in a rectangular case – a trademark of the Monaco series – and this design is carried over to the subdials; besides being very stylish and striking, it is also very distinctive. The case back is transparent, allowing us to enjoy the work of the watch's mechanical heart – and there, under the code name Tag Heuer Calibre 02, an in-house chronograph works tirelessly, operating at 28,800 vph, with an 80-hour reserve, 33 jewels.
