Description
Debuted as the Oyster Prince Date+Day (Ref. 7017/0), the model coincided with Tudor’s logo change from the rose to the shield. While the Rolex version was produced exclusively in precious metals and measured 36 mm, Tudor’s counterpart was crafted in stainless steel and significantly larger at 38 mm, earning it the “Jumbo” nickname. Tudor later expanded the line with new references such as the 7019, featuring a rotating bezel, and the 7020. Subsequent models, including the 94510 and 94613, introduced more refined 36 mm cases that more closely mirrored the Rolex aesthetic, while retaining third-party ETA movements to keep prices accessible. At hand, we have a reference 94510 featuring a cool machined steel bezel on a robust 36 mm case. The dial is a seldom-seen grey colour, accented by stick hour markers and white printed text. The day disc, visible through the cut-out above the iconic shield logo, is in English. This fine Tudor is paired with a lovely folded Rolex-signed Oyster bracelet, reference 7836, with end links marked 558 and a clasp stamped “2/70.” The watch has been fully serviced by our watchmaker and is ready for its next adventures. These Tudor dress watches remain somewhat underrated and under the radar, especially when compared to the brand’s more rugged Submariner and dive-watch offerings under the Shield.
