GREEN DIVER
The Rolex Submariner is one of the most iconic and respected models in the Rolex lineup. In 2003, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Submariner, Rolex introduced the reference 16610LV, with LV standing for Lunette Verte (French for “green bezel”). This model features a distinctive green aluminum bezel insert and has earned the nickname "Kermit"among collectors.
The earliest versions of the 16610LV are particularly sought after by collectors, especially the so-called "Flat Four"models. On these, the number 4 in the "40" on the bezel has a noticeably flatter top compared to later versions. These rare Flat Four bezels were only produced on Y and early F serials, dating to approximately 2003–2004.
Interestingly, some of these green aluminum bezel inserts developed a more olive-toned hue over time, while others retained their original deep green color, like the one on this particular watch.
The 16610LV was produced alongside the standard 16610, but it includes an important upgrade: the Maxi dial, which features larger hour markers and broader hands. This design detail marked a transitional step toward the next-generation Submariner, the ceramic 116610. Aside from the dial and bezel, the rest of the watch is largely identical to the regular 16610.

- Clearly visible signs of wear, including scratches, dents, or noticeable bracelet or clasp wear. Servicing may be recommended in the future. Fully functional unless otherwise stated.
