We are happy to offer what we believe is one of the best value propositions in the Patek Philippe market today. Let us walk you through why! This is the iconic reference 5110J, released in the year 2000, marking Patek Philippe’s return to the World Time complication after a long hiatus following the reference 2523, which was discontinued in the 1960s. A truly remarkable and romantic complication, the 5110J in 18k yellow gold features a beautifully executed opaline guilloché dial—one of the signature elements of Patek Philippe’s commitment to fine craftsmanship. The brilliance of the Louis Cottier-style World Time complication is its ability to display local time along with the time in all the world’s time zones at once, all on one dial. It operates through two concentric rings: the outer ring, showing the names of cities for each time zone, rotates clockwise, while the inner 24-hour ring turns counter-clockwise. The intricate engine-turned pattern not only enhances its visual appeal but also speaks to the exceptional attention to detail for which Patek Philippe is renowned. The classic 37mm case is equipped with a pusher at the 10 o’clock position for adjusting the World Time complication. It's a satisfying tactile experience to adjust this pusher, allowing one to truly appreciate the quality of the movement. Additionally, the case features a display back, providing a clear view of the Caliber 240 HU automatic movement, complete with its 22k gold micro-rotor. Attached to the watch is a slightly used Patek Philippe leather strap with an 18k yellow gold folding buckle. This fine World Timer comes with a Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives, confirming a sale in 2003. It has been fully serviced by our watchmaker. Please get in touch to add one of our favorite Patek Philippe pieces to your collection!
