The Breitling Navitimer, introduced by Willy Breitling in 1952, was designed with a circular slide rule for pilots' flight calculations. Adopted in 1954 by the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), it became the quintessential pilot's watch. The latest Navitimer revives its classic features with modern updates: a sleeker profile from a flattened slide rule and domed crystal, brushed metal accents, and dial color in silver with the iconic AOPA wings back at 12 o'clock. The Breitling Navitimer B01 Chronograph features a 43mm stainless steel case and a bi-directional rotating bezel with a slide rule. It has a silver dial with black sub-dials and a black dial flange, luminous-filled hands, and applied index hour markers with luminous tips. A small seconds sub-dial is positioned at 9 o’clock, with a date display at 6 o’clock and a prominent red central seconds hand. The 30-minute and 12-hour counters are located at 3 and 6 o’clock, respectively. Powered by the in-house automatic caliber B01 with 47 jewels, it offers a 70-hour power reserve. The watch includes an anti-reflective, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and an exhibition case back, complemented by a stainless steel bracelet with a hidden folding clasp adorned with the Breitling logo.
