This Patek Philippe Calatrava reference 2526 features the first automatic movement ever produced by Patek. The Yellow gold case of this reference 2526 has some patina and signs of use and is in very good condition. It breaths class and style and is of course perfectly finished. Patek Philippe launched reference 2526 in the mid 50-ies, this example we offer is produced in 1957. The watch is fitted on Timeless Vintage Watches crocodile strap and steel buckle. The watch recently undergone a watchmaker’s inspection and runs perfectly. This example is featuring a beautiful and newer “sigma dial” with Yellow gold hour markers and a subsidiary seconds dial positioned at 6 o'clock, adding a balanced and symmetrical element to the dial design. The watch has a screw-back (at that time waterproof), something that was an important selling point back then. The double P crown that you see on our macro picture was introduced for this automatic movement and is often associated with the reference 2526. This beauty comes with the Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming the movement, case material, caliber, reference and the sales date March 18th 1957 and a leather Patek Philippe service pouch.
