The watch design takes inspiration from the original “Alaska Project III,” renowned for its robustness and readability under extreme conditions. The updated version is equally impressive, featuring a matte-finish case that minimizes reflections, ensuring optimal readability in various lighting conditions. The most striking visual element of this watch is its "reverse panda" dial, a design characterized by white opaline silvery subdials set against a deep black main dial, creating a sharp and appealing contrast. These subdials are surrounded by a black aluminum bezel ring that adds a sleek, modern edge to the watch. In keeping with Omega’s tradition of excellence, the watch showcases several distinctive details. The vintage Omega logo, prominently displayed on the dial, is rhodium-plated. The hour markers are coated with Super-LumiNova, a luminescent material that provides exceptional visibility in low light. In fact, all markings and subdials are treated with bright luminescent ink, making the watch incredibly easy to read at a glance, regardless of the conditions.
