This Audemars Piguet Royal Oak reference 14790, the mid-size “Tropical” execution of the Gérald Genta design, is in overall fantastic condition. At 36 mm this Royal Oak is more wearable than the ‘Jumbo’, but due to its 8mm thickness it still has a civilized wrist presence and that’s what we strive for.\n\nThe Royal Oak has the recognisable octagonal bezel, case and stainless steel integrated bracelet. This example is perfectly finished, as you can see at the macro-pictures.\n\nThis watch, is a 2nd series of ref. 14790ST, recognisable by the modern “Audemars Piguet” font on the dial and the capitalised A and P logo. The ‘petite tapisserie’ grey dial has a slight tropical effect. The original tritium on the dial and hands is also in fantastic condition and is the most sought after in the longer index series.\n\nThe automatic calibre 2225 is in excellent running condition, just fully serviced by our watchmakers. The case and integrated bracelet are in greatcondition due to an light polish treatment. The also period correct folding clasp is a real functional piece of art.\n\nThis Royal Oak not only comes with the Audemars Piguet box and the original papers (booklet) but also the 'Extract from the Audemars Puguet Archives’ confirming the date of registration September 8th 1994.
