This platinum Patek Philippe Annual Calendar Ref. 5035P is an exceptionally attractive and rare neo-vintage example, combining an important complication with the understated character of platinum.

The watch is accompanied by a Patek Philippe box and an recent Extract from the Patek Philippe Archives.

The Extract confirms that this Ref. 5035 was manufactured in 1999 and originally sold on November 1st, 2000. It also confirms the platinum case and the original slate-grey dial with applied white-gold Roman numerals. An important detail is that the dial was changed by Patek Philippe during a service in its workshops in 2025 (we don't have an invoice or other documentation of this service). The current "Salmon dial configuration" is therefore fully documented by Patek Philippe and specifically mentioned on the Extract from the Archives.

The elegant dial features applied Roman numerals and the refined layout that makes the Ref. 5035 so distinctive.

Three sub-dials display the day at 9 o’clock, the month at 3 o’clock and the 24-hour indication at 6 o’clock.

Together with the date indication, these functions form Patek Philippe’s celebrated Annual Calendar complication. The 37mm platinum case is beautifully proportioned and remains in excellent condition with small signs of careful ownership.

Its compact dimensions give the watch a sophisticated and discreet presence on the wrist, while the weight of platinum immediately reveals its precious-metal character.

Inside is the self-winding Patek Philippe Calibre 315 S QA 24H. This beautifully finished movement combines the Annual Calendar, date, day, month and 24-hour indication in one highly practical mechanical complication. The sapphire-crystal caseback provides a clear view of the movement and its traditional Patek Philippe finishing.

As the finishing touch, this platinum version has a special ordered matching original Patek Philippe croco strap and is not fitted with the more common pin buckle. Instead, at the special request of the first owner, the watch comes with the original platinum folding clasp featuring the Calatrava Cross. This is not only a more elegant and considerably more valuable configuration, it also offers a practical advantage. The additional weight of the platinum folding clasp acts as a counterbalance to the heavier platinum case, improving the overall balance and comfort on the wrist. A rare, beautiful and functional detail, what more could we ask for?

The Ref. 5035 occupies an important place in Patek Philippe history. Introduced in the 1990s, it was the reference through which Patek Philippe brought the Annual Calendar complication to the market. Unlike a perpetual calendar, an Annual Calendar automatically compensates for months containing 30 or 31 days. Only one manual correction is required each year, at the end of February.

In platinum, the Ref. 5035 is considerably rarer than the more commonly encountered precious-metal executions. Its 37mm proportions, discreet appearance and historically important complication make it particularly appealing to collectors of understated Patek Philippe watches.
